Day 1 : Reykjavik

Arrival at Keflavik international airport. En route to Reykjavik, take a short detour to explore the lunar-like lava landscapes between Keflavik airport and Reykjavik city. Iceland is one of the favourite destination to see northern lights and If lucky enough you may get glimpses of the phenomenal act of nature.

Day 2 : explore Golden Circle

Today explore the famous Golden Circle. Visit Thingvellir National Park, the site of world's oldest parliament where you can see the rift valley between the tectonic plate boundaries of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Proceed to the Great Geyser geothermal area where you can see bubbling hot springs & the geyser Strokkur erupting about every 10 minutes to a 15 - 20 meter height followed by a visit to the massive Gullfoss, translated as Golden Falls, one of the most popular waterfalls of Iceland. Overnight stay at Hvolsvollur. Extra Topping : Tea / coffee on the golden circle route after lunch.

Day 3 : Hvolsvollur – Höfn

Today take a journey on the beautiful south route, which become famous among Indian travellers by the Bollywood song 'Gerua'. Take photostop at Seljalandsfoss - 180 feet tall waterfall. Pass by the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano, which stopped the air travel across Europe almost for a week in 2010. Proceed to visit the picture perfect Skogafoss – one of the biggest waterfall and famous filming location in Iceland. The fall is approx 50 feet wide with a drop of 200 feet and if you are lucky enough you can see a single or double rainbow on a sunny day. Drive ahead to Reynisfjara black sand beach, also features an amazing cliff of regular basalt columns resembling a rocky step pyramid, called Gardar. Enjoy the view of the Reynisdrangar stone stacks peer out of the Atlantic Ocean. Later proceed to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon to witness one of greatest wonders of nature. Enjoy the 40-minute amphibian boat ride (subject to weather conditions) in the glacier lagoon. Overnight in Höfn area.

Day 4 : Hofn Dettifoss – Lake Myvatn

Today we will travel to Lake Myvatn – situated at the north of Iceland and was created by a large lava eruption 2300 years ago. En-route visit Dettifoss (subject to operation) - Europe's most powerful waterfall, which gushes out 500 cubic meters of water per second from its 45 meter high and 100 meter wide edge. Travel through the Namaskard Pass - an area of geothermal activity with boiling mud pools in various colors and amazing surroundings. The smell from the area is pretty distinct due to the sulphur released from the mud pools. Take a photostop at Lake Myvatn formed after a massive eruption 2300 years ago. This is located along the western side of the volcanic zone which bisects Iceland and is an extension of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Overnight stay at Myvatn.

Day 5 : Myvatn - Húsavík Whale watching - Godafoss – Akureyri

Today travel to Húsavík - the whale watching capital of Iceland and one of the best places in the world to get close to these gentle giants. Later proceed to Godafoss, the waterfall of the Gods. In the evening there is free time to walk around the charming Akureyri town. Extra Topping : Hot chocolate on the cruise

Day 6 : Akureyri – Húsafell into the glacier – Reykjavik

Proceed to Husafell base camp for the thrilling experience of Into the Glacier, a must-have life time experience! Early morning depart for Husafell, a base camp for the thrilling experience of Into the Glacier, a must-have life time experience! Explore the ice tunnel and the caves located high on Europe's second largest glacier Langjokull - the second largest ice cap in Ic eland with up to 1900 ft thick ice. Explore the ice chapel and also see the interesting information about the glacier, glacial exploration and research of global warming. Arrive at Reykjavik in the evening.

Day 7 : Reykjavik - Blue Lagoon – Reykjavik

Morning free to explore the capital city of Iceland on your own. One can enjoy shopping. In the afternoon, pamper yourself at the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa - the most visited attraction in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field in Grindavik on the Reykjanes Peninsula. Extra Topping : Hot or Cold drink at Blue Lagoon Spa

Day 8 : Departure from Reykjavik

Enjoy a guided tour of Reykjavik, which includes photo-stop at Solfar sculpture on the waterfront, walking on the main street Laugavegur & the harbour. Visit the towering Hallgrim's church, the largest church and the sixth tallest architectural structure in Iceland famous for its pipe organ. Climb to the church tower for a magnificent view of the city. Visit the Presidential Residence at Bessastadir, the Restaurant Perlan (the Pearl) followed by a photo stop at the Hofdi House where the all-important summit meeting between President Ronald Reagan and Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev took place in 1986. Tour Concludes. Board the flight to your home town.
